Major Merger in Orthotics Industry

TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE) -- October 2003 -- Advanced Medical Services, Orthotic Rehabilitation Products, and the Medassist Group announce the merger of their sales force and manufacturing operations. Orthotic Rehabilitation Products and the Medassist Group, headquartered in Tampa, Florida, are both engaged in the manufacturing of a wide variety of patented orthotic devices used to treat functional limitations of the upper and lower extremities. Beginning October 1st, 2003, Orthotic Rehab will assume all manufacturing of the Medassist orthotic line of products.

Advanced Medical Services, headquartered in Houston, Texas, distributes a broad range of rehabilitation and durable medical equipment to the long-term care, rehabilitation, and home care markets. All sales and administrative responsibilities will be transferred to Advanced Medical related to the orthotics division.
